Throughout the school year I was able to collect around $200. Thank you to anyone involved. Hopefully the library can put the money to good use.

There are six weeks left to finish the project and my plan is to get any extra money I can, add it all up, and donate it to the library. Hopefully they can buy some interesting books or possibly even renovate a little.
Yesterday someone from NMU came to give a presentation about 3D printing. He talked about what 3D printing is and how it works, he went on about how he wanted to create his own and what he did to accomplish that goal. He had a passion about something and he decided to go for it. The genius hour project is similar in that you find something that your interested in and you work towards it.
While doing this project I read an article on other kids and their genius hour projects, and how teachers are okay with failure. The article goes on about how failure will cause people to take more risks. It shows that sometimes it's okay to fail and learn from your mistakes. In the article a teacher states that "They're not going to have teachers to help them throughout life." And that "They're going to be on their own."
My plan for the genius hour project is to purchase books for the local library. The amount of books will depend on how much money I get for the project. All through October, November, and December, I will try to earn money in any way that I can.
